Hellenic Bank released a statement summarising its participation at this year’s Reflect Festival, highlighting its commitment to innovation, digital transformation, and the strategic role of technology in the future of banking.
The festival is one of the largest technology and innovation events in Cyprus and the Mediterranean, and startups, investors, and technology experts gathered once again in Limassol on 15–16 May for Reflect Festival 2025. It’s estimated that over 10,000 people attended this year’s event.
The bank, a member of the Eurobank Group and a long-standing supporter of the festival, highlighted the decisive role of technology in reshaping the banking sector and improving customer service.
According to the bank, “technology, data analysis, and strategic development were at the heart of its presentations.”
Central to Hellenic Bank’s presence was the emphasis on the strategic use of data as a tool for decision-making, process automation, and more efficient management.
Cleanthis Constantinou, Site Reliability Engineer at Hellenic Bank, delivered a talk titled “From Data to Decisions: Navigating IT in the Banking Sector with F1 Precision.”
During his speech, Constantinou drew a comparison between the technological demands of banking and the strategic precision required in Formula 1.
He explained that “accurate data analysis leads to faster and more agile decision-making in the rapidly evolving technological landscape of banking.”
He added that “technology heads in the banking sector rely on precise data analysis and sound trend forecasting to steer their organisations toward successful outcomes.”
Meanwhile, Andreas Papadopoulos, Head of Commercial Banking at Hellenic Bank, participated in a panel discussion titled “The Future of Cyprus – Vision, Growth & Opportunity.”
Alongside senior figures from both the public and private sectors, Papadopoulos discussed Cyprus’ long-term prospects as an investment and technology hub.
He highlighted what the bank called “the multifaceted role of banks in supporting entrepreneurship, sustainable growth, and infrastructure.”
Hellenic Bank stated that its participation in Reflect Festival reaffirmed “its steadfast commitment to innovation, technological advancement, and tangible support for Cyprus’ economic development.”
Through continued investment in digital channels, data analytics, and modern banking solutions, the bank said it is advancing its digital transformation journey “with the customer always at the centre of its actions.”
